Because of the widespread publicity in the newspapers, Mom and Second Aunt were keen to visit Emart Taman Berlian. So that morning, I brought them there. It is located about 13km away from my house, which is not far technically. But by Kuching standards, anything outside the radius of 6 km is far away. Lol. The drive there was smooth, the traffic was manageable. We arrived in no time.
Because the supermarket is newly-opened, everything look neat and clean. The supermarket was not very big, and there were 2 floors - the first floor sold household items. Mom and Second Aunt spent a lot of time browsing at the food and groceries section ... and it took a while before they were done.
We headed home afterwards. I had actually wanted to bring my Second Aunt for a meal somewhere, but she had to rush home since she had an appointment set up with her friends. Heh.
So Mom and I dropped our groceries at home before going out again. I asked Mom what she wanted to eat and gave her a few options to choose from .... and she had wanted to eat curry. So I brought her to 7 Stars Cafe.
There were 3 choices of meat - chicken, beef or lamb. Mom chose lamb, since we seldom cook lamb at home. The meat was quite tender, and the curry gravy was a bomb. Quite yum and really a rice stealer. I even brought home the extra gravy in my own glass container. Heh.
