Day 2 : Icn - Busan

Well, we arrived at Incheon International Airport Terminal 1 on schedule. Now, there was no tour manager to fuss over us. Everything was on our own. So after we collected our bags, we went outside the arrival hall. We saw some bus counters as we exited, and enquired about the bus to Busan. We bought our tickets for an 11.30 a.m. bus. The counter guy explained to us where we could board our bus. All we had to do was to be at the platform by 11.15 a.m.

We then found a convenience store, where we could buy our T-money card. A card cost KRW4,000. I topped it up with KRW10,000. We could top up our card anytime conveniently at any railway or metro stations or convenience stores should we need to.

Meanwhile, some of the food items I have always wanted to try from the convenience store .....

 Binggrae Banana Milk & Kimbap

So yummy!

Seriously, I loved the kimbap. It was a substantial meal by itself as there was rice, meat and kimchi! Half a roll and I was already full!

At 11.15 a.m., we went to the bus platform and kept our eyes on the bus to Busan. Soon it arrived, and we climbed on board. The bus was pretty comfortable. The seats were huge, there was wifi and tv, and I could even charge my phone on board. The bus journey would take 5 hours, with 1 20-minute toilet break in between.

We arrived at Nopo Bus Terminal at 4.45 p.m. ... and transferred to the metro to take us downtown to Nampo-dong where we would be staying. Our hotel was K-Guesthouse Nampo-dong.

Our room was really tiny!
Nonetheless, we did have a comfortable stay here for 3 nights.

We dumped our bags and ventured out to the streets. We walked a bit and that was already the BIFF Square ....

Many footprints of celebrities such as this on the pavement ....

Some handprints by the side of the pavement ....

Aaah ... Aori Ramen .... belonging to Seungri of Big Bang

The busy fashion street bustling with shoppers

We randomly picked a place to eat as we were so hungry already! The shop was called King Bob ....

Kimchi and pork rice bowl, KRW5500

Bulgogi rice bowl, KRW6500

The meal came with complimentary drink, hot soup and lots of kimchi. We enjoyed our simple rice bowls very much.

Thereafter, we walked along the street ....

So many stalls popped up ..... and we just had to eat the street food again, even though we'd eaten dinner. Lol ....

Egg bread, Gye-ran Bbang
Tasted like huat kueh with an overcooked egg on top; both of us did not like it

At the end of the street were a few stalls selling snacks, and we just had to eat some .....

Eomuk, KRW700
I'd always seen people enjoying eomuk or fishcake on television and so I just had to eat it; it was yummy, but I expected the taste of fish to be more prominent. I liked the soup though ... there's something addictive about the hot soup ....

Deep fried peppers and sweet potato, KRW700 each

Everything sold for KRW700 at this stall .....

Our stomachs full, we walked further around the area and found ....

Busan Tower at Yongdusan ....
We walked around a bit but decided to return again during the day ....

We also walked around the cosmetics shops a bit before we finally went back to the hotel for the night.
