Popiah

Mom wanted to make popiah from scratch today. It is a long and tedious process that involves a lot of shredding. Jicama, carrots, french beans, bean curd and chicken were shredded finely and stir-fried with garlic and minced dried prawns.

Vegetable filling

We also shredded egg omelette finely.

Mom mixed some sauce for the popiah. It consisted of some chilli, plum sauce, and some chopped peanut.

Then, it's time to wrap the popiah - spread a thin layer of sauce on the crepe-like popiah skin, add 2 spoonfuls of vegetables, a handful of egg and then roll.

We made 10 pieces today, and gave away a substantial lot to relatives. ;)
