Spicy Air-fried Korean Chicken

I saw this ... and thought I would give it a try.

Here is the recipe. But of course  I tweaked it to suit the ingredients I had at home. And the result was superb. Yummy to the max!

So tasty and tender and succulent .... 

I bought a large de-boned chicken drumstick from Ta Kiong. It's cleaned already, and all I did was to rinse it and then pat dry. Then I marinated the meat overnight .... 

Red hot marinated chicken ... 

My marinade :
1 tbsp gojuchang
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp cooking wine
1 tbsp honey
1/2 tbsp minced garlic
1/2 tbsp minced ginger
1 tsp sugar
a pinch of salt

I mixed everything in a bowl before rubbing it into the chicken and kept it chilled overnight. Instead of grilling it, I air-fried it : skin up for 8 minutes at 180 deg, and then skin down at 6 min also at 180 deg. If you like it charred, can air-fry it longer to perhaps 10 minutes.
