Lunch Reception

Cousin F's wedding day. We weren't sure of the arrangements, just that we were told to be at the house at about 11.00 a.m. The tea ceremony was to be at about 12.30 p.m. .... but the bride and groom only arrived back home at 1.30 p.m, and the tea ceremony started about 1.45 p.m. .... and we left about about 2.00 p.m.

The children got restless and wreaked havoc around the house, so I set about entertaining some of them, playing scrambled words and all. My 10-year-old niece C asked me the meaning of the word "exemplary". Whoa .... she's really good.

Lunch was catered from a Muslim neighbour ..... and we thoroughly enjoyed her cooking!

 Lunch spread

Mom made butter raisin cake, Second Aunt made mini angku kuehs, and also a blueberry sponge cake. The rest were catered. The Milo-flavoured jelly actually tasted good. :))

Butter fried rice with frozen mixed vegetables and chicken dices

Fried beehoon with cabbage, mustard green and chicken dices

 Ayam masak merah

Chicken rendang

 Mixed vegetables

All were freshly cooked that morning, and were delicious! We enjoyed the meal a lot! Congratulations to my cousin, F and her husband. :))
