Day 7 : Wulingyuan Scenic Area : Ten-Mile Gallery

I thought the weather was great that morning! It was sunny, yet not that hot. Perhaps we were at high altitudes, that's why.

For the third day in a row, we went back to the Wulingyuan Scenic Area. Our entrance pass was valid for 3 days, and we were sure going to make full use of it. Again, we entered the grounds and headed to catch a shuttle bus. This morning, we were going to the Ten-Mile Gallery.

The Ten-Mile Gallery, so called as it was akin to a large outdoor art gallery.  The painter? Well, Mother Nature, of course. There was a trail ... where visitors could walk along and marvel at the spectacular landscape. If they did not want to walk, then just jump aboard an electric train. Be sure to sit on the left side of the train to get the best view.

On the left and right of the trail were sandstone pillars of different shapes and sizes.

I could see these sandstone pillars as I looked up .... each of the pillars had a name, and they sounded beautiful in Mandarin. Well, I would have to translate them into English .... so some that I remembered were "Old Man Collecting Herbs", "Elderly Couple In Love", "Parents And Child" and so on.

It was just a short ride ... and the train would let visitors off at a recreational area ...

One could post for photos here, with the sandstone peaks as background

Three Sisters
That's the name for the 3 peaks on the right of the photo .... The eldest sister was hugging a child, while the third sister who wore her hair in a bun was pregnant.  The second sister was standing in between the two sisters. They looked like they were standing at a doorway, sending their husbands off.

Souvenir stalls
There were some souvenir stalls here ... where visitors could buy local handicrafts, clothes, silverware, and so on

We spent about an hour here ..... and then said our good byes to Wulingyuan Scenic Area for this time.
