Kuching Festival Fair 2015 : Second Visit

Second Visit to the food festival this evening ...... we walked and walked and then decided to buy a deep-fried cuttlefish from Squid King - located on the right if you walk in from the main entrance.

 Deep-fried cuttlefish, RM8.00
I had to request for them to cut up the large fish, otherwise, they'd just give it to me in a skewer. However, we both liked the deep-fried cuttlefish very much; it was very tasty, the cuttlefish was succulent, the batter crisp and flavourful. I'd buy this again. :))

 Cuban Lamb Sandwich, RM10.00
This was yummy too - I loved the combination of the French bread, with lettuce, cabbage, and lots of pulled flavourful lamb. The meat was very tender and totally infused with chillies, tomatoes, herbs and spices. This was bought from the Raintree Restaurant by BCCK stall.

1 set of 3 scallops, RM10.00
This was from the Mongolian Master stall .... The looked plump and juicy. I popped one in my mouth, and when I bit into the flesh, the juices burst, and I had a saline overdose. Too salty! So that it had destroyed the natural flavour of the scallops .....

Oyster omelette, RM12,00
This was bought from the Authentic Teochew Oyster Omelette stall ... I liked the taste, the texture of the starch and the fresh oysters. Very nice.

And for dessert .......

 Stir-fried ice-cream

Green tea and red bean ice tubes, RM6.00

 Fresh mango ice tubes, RM7.00

We bought this from the stall called, Ice Tube. Milk and cream is mixed together with your choice of ingredients and then cooled on an ice pan before rolling them up into tubes. Of the two, we enjoyed the mango flavoured one better. The green tea tasted more of jasmine green tea and not matcha green tea.

Initially, we had wanted to buy from Thai Cool .... but the queue was just too long. The stall had not even commenced business yet and the queue was already there. And it seemed that the vendor were taking their sweet time doing their preparation, and enjoying to see people wait for them ... sigh ....
