Pork satay, RM0.60 each
Peanut sauce accompaniment
I do think that this is one of the must-eats for visitors to Kuching. Lau Ya Keng is strategically located at Carpenter Street, one of the oldest streets in Kuching. The street by itself, is a tourist attraction, as it's got quirky old buildings .... and a few Chinese temples. Lau Ya Keng, in fact, means temple in the local dialect.
The pork satay is really delicious ... the meat is tender, and well-marinated. It's not spicy at all. The peanut sauce too was of a good consistency, with just a hint of spiciness.
I really enjoy this satay every time. That means that they are really consistent with the quality. Two-thumbs up, highly recommended.
An earlier post I wrote on the satay.
