After breakfast, we drove out to Lembang and visited a strawberry farm.
Inside the strawberry farm
Ooh .... so pretty in red!
Looking fresh and yummy...
We could pluck our own strawberries .....
I picked a dozen .... and when weighed, they cost me a bit
The next destination was Tangkuban Perahu .... This was the first time I had ever come so close to a dormant volcano. I loved this place lots!
Tangkuban Perahu means an "overturned vessel", its name came from a local folklore.
The volcanic crater
This was Kawah Ratu, the biggest crater
All around the area, there were people peddling their wares .....
BBQ corn on cob
A stretch of stalls lining the crater
The stalls
Shoes, t-shirts, bags and souvenirs for sale
I loved the kitchen stuff sold here
Local food and snacks were available too!
And these are banana fritters .... didn't they look so yummy?
We spent about an hour at the volcano .... before we drove past various lush green tea plantations. Our destination was Sari Ater or Ciater Hot Springs.
Tea plantations
The local brand was "Walini". At the side of the roads were stalls selling satay kelinchi ... or rabbit satay.
A short while later, we reached Sari Ater Hot Spring .....
Some precautions to take ...
A large decorative rhino at the hot springs ....
One of the ponds where one could soak
Love the cascading waters!
This was the "jodoh" pond; single people who soak here would purportedly meet their life partners. Lols. I soaked my feet here for a while.
On the way back to town, we stopped by a Kopi Luwak production centre. I would post about Kopi Luwak in the next post. Lunch was rather late .... and at a restaurat called Balibu.
More shopping ensued when we got back to Bandung .... we went to the Pasar Baru Bandung. This place appeared to be so chaotic to me. I did not buy anything .... merely waiting for the others to finish their shopping.
Eli decided to bring us to Jalan Riau where more FOs are located. We went to Terminal Tas which sold lots of leather goods.
A large figurine of Mr. Bean .... near the Branded Club Boutique
Inside The Oasis FO
And I loved the decor here inside JessieJames
Dinner was at a shop named Kedai Belacan.
Sambal
Kangkong
Semur Ayam
Tahu Balado
Grilled fish
Tom Yum Soup
Egg omelette
White rice
It seemed that they weren't so creative with the food .... sigh ..... we returned to our hotel after dinner.
