Loh Mai Kai, RM4.00
The glutinous rice was soft and nicely flavoured, and the ingredients were generous. There were lots of char siu bits, a piece of shitake, a slice of Chinese sausage, and a sliver of chicken thigh meat. Not bad, but needless to say, I much prefer Mom's one.
Char Siu Bao, RM3.00
The bao skin was soft and fluffy, and slightly sweet. It complements the filling, which was on the savoury side, and one could taste the smoky flavour of the barbecue sauce in the meats. The bao was yum.
Shao Mai, RM3.00
There were four pieces, and they were rather salty. Dices of lard in each piece of shao mai provided texture. They may not sit well with some people, though.
Those snacks, washed down by hot cups of tea, placated the rebellious stomach for a while. ;p
Well, Peter San Cafe is located at the Miri Waterfront, just behind CIMB. It is the same row as Cosway & Perkeso. This casual cafe opened early in January this year, and operates daily from 7.00 a.m. - 4.00 p.m. Wi-fi is available for tech junkies. ;))
