Lunch @ Merdeka Mall Food Court

Merdeka Mall is a bit out of the way for me, but a few of us headed for lunch there anyway. The food court was quite packed and based on recommendation from my friend, we had rice and dishes from a Malay stall, specialising in Masakan Padang Ala Indonesian, as indicated by the bright green sign atop the stall.

I am no expert in Padang Food, so I cannot tell whether the food here is authentic. But a search online says that food is characterised by the use of spices, coconut milk, and boiled vegetables in curried gravies.
My plate, RM5.00
Rice is scooped on the plate and passed to me, and I had the liberty of choosing the dishes in the amount I wanted. So I went for tapioca leaves in a curry gravy, green mango sambal, chicken in soy sauce gravy.

Authentic or not, I totally enjoyed my meal cause I ended up finishing all the rice. Lol. The tapioca leaves were tasty, the mangoes were appetising, and the chicken was surprisingly full of flavour. The price too, I thought was reasonable. Not bad at all and I would not mind going back to sample more of the dishes here.
